- Having lived in Baltimore, Maryland all my life, I believe that the best
- Maryland crab cakes as the simplest. This is the recipe I have from my
- Grandma. These are the best!
-
- Maryland Crab Cakes
-
- 1 pound crab meat (I like lump crab meat the best)
- 3 slices bread
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley
- Old Bay Seasoning (to taste)g
-
- Make crumbs from the bread. Mix all ingredients together. Form into
- cakes about 1/2 - 3/4 inches thick. Fry over medium heat for 5 minutes on
- each side (til golden brown - do not over cook).
-
- I don't care for a lot of fancy sauces with this since it's so good on its
- own. I also have to admit to frying these in butter. With the price of
- crab, I don't have them too often, so I don't skip the butter when I do.
